    I was a bit surprised to see that it’s such a small book as I have been spoiled by Judy Hall’s Crystal Bible. But I like the fact that this book has photographys of all the crystals listed in the book with short descriptions of the Spiritual, Soul, Mental, Physical aspects or benefits of each crystal.

    Though it is not as detailed as Crystal Bible, it is more pocketable when doing your crystal shopping. It’ll be handy if the shops do not have their own reference books on crystal healing. It even has some crystals that are not being described by Crystal Bible.

      This is one I’m recommending to all my attuned friends: more stones included than in even “The Crystal Bible” (J. Hall) in an even smaller format for easy transport to shops and shows. Very little is lost in the German to English translation, and this book includes clear color photo illustrations. There is information about specific agate markings I haven’t found in any of the many other crystal healing books I have reviewed. The only drawbacks to this book are that it does not go into the detail that “Bible” and others do and it does not include information about how to use the stones therapeutically, but this is not the point of the book. The book is an excellent, extensive photo reference with space for the reader to indicate which stones have been collected, not a textbook on healing with stones. It is a worthwhile addition to your library on crystal healing.

        Even though the book is small, it is filled with so much information. I love it because it is small enough to keep with me when I am looking for crystals and stones. It is a must have to your collection!

          This is another wonderful book from one of my favourite authors on crystals. Each entry is clear and concise and includes a small photograph. Information regarding the general composition, formation type, crystal system, and Berzelian grouping are included and may be expanded upon by using this book as an extension of his other work (Crystal Power, Crystal Healing).

          Many diverse minerals and rocks are included, as well as many different morphologies of the quartz crystal. This is a lovely shopping guide, especially since it includes a small checkbox for marking those pieces which are part of your collection. As always, Gienger includes the most traditional stones, as well as those which are much more exotic and interesting. In addition to all of the mineralogical and spiritual values of the stones, Gienger also approximates a current availability of each entry (i.e.: common, readily available, not readily available, scarce, rare, etc.).

            I love this book! It is not meant to be an in depth study on crystal healing. Instead it gives you photo’s and descriptions of over 400 stones. It is the perfect buyers guide. After each stone is a place to check it off if you own it. It also describes how hard to find each stone is. Fits in your back pocket to take with you to your favorite rock or metaphysical shop.
