Yes it’s ok to get out of bed with back pain, but there’s a proper way to do it One of the biggest myths about back pain is you should stay in bed until your back pain goes away. Bad idea. When you first hurt your back you might want to take it easy in bed a day or two… tops. Anything more than that and all you’re doing is allowing your muscles to weaken But that’s not to say there isn’t a correct way to get out of bed to avoid reinjuring your back. Pain shouldn’t be a necessary part of getting out of bed – and it doesn’t have to be if you do it right.
