Scientists are finding that the vitamin-like substance, coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), may play an important role during and after exercise. New studies have determined that Q10 helps protect muscles and enhances endurance. One study shows that CoQ10 protects muscles by regulating certain proteins and by preserving the energy-producing portions of muscle cells.
