4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
cup water
2 cups sugar
8 tbsp of butter
1 cups self-rising flour
1 cups milk
Pinch of cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a saucepan, combine peaches with 1 cup of sugar and water. Stir well. Bring mixture to a quick boil. Reduce heat and simmer gently for about 10 minutes. Set aside.

Put the butter into a baking dish (3-quart) and place in the oven.

In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup of sugar, flour and milk and stir until the mixture is nice and smooth. Add the mixture to the melted butter. Then add peach slices and pour syrup on top. Sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon and bake in the oven for about 40 minutes.

Serve with vanilla ice-cream.
